Dallas Federal Reserve President, Richard Fisher, spoke at a consulate-organized media roundtable on April 18.  Fisher answered questions on the strength of the U.S. dollar, the likelihood of future inflation, and the current status of the U.S. economy.  He also spoke on the role of the Fed in the U.S. economy, including its political independence.
