Voting
To vote in local, state, or national elections, you must first register as an absentee voter. For more information on how to register, go to http://www.fvap.gov/.
Alternatively, the Consular Section has the back-up Federal Post Card Application form used for requesting absentee ballots for federal elections. You may bring your completed application forms to the Consular Section and we will mail it to the United States for you free of charge. If you do not receive your absentee ballot in a timely fashion, you may request a write-in ballot at the Consular Section or at http://www.fvap.gov/. Absentee ballots for state and local elections can only be requested directly from your state or local authorities.
